A total renovation of an old double shotgun camelback, which had been damaged – and neglected – since Hurricane Katrina. Moreover, the relative age of the building meant that certain building materials in place (eg: asbestos siding throughout the exterior) had to be professionally removed and replaced without compromising the building's historic character. In addition, key architectural elements such as the brick fireplaces were restored and rebuilt wherever possible, ensuring that the historic essence of the building was maintained, inside and out, and I devised a new floorplan which reflected the demands of modern living Due to a successful renovation and a location only steps from Audubon park, we were able to create two, 2 - storey condominiums that set a new precedent for price per square foot in the immediate area. .
